Matt leads our dedicated adviser and support team as they deliver solutions addressing our many and varied Community Chapman Welsh client goals and advice needs. Matt joined the Practice in 2012 with more than 20 years of previous Finance experience. Matt is a qualified CPA having a background in Public Accounting and Industry, which included 4 years working in London.

Matt focuses the CCW team on understanding client needs and finding solutions that are practical and appropriate to meet those needs. Matt believes that listening to client’s goals and objectives is critical to any successful client-adviser relationship, and takes pride in his clear and regular communication with all clients.

Matt and his amazing wife Sharyn share 4 beautiful children – Bradley, Stevee, George and Roy – and a much loved black Labrador called Bowie. Together they joyfully wrestle the ensuing many household demands which include, but not limited to, multiple weekly junior sporting endeavours, screen time management and frequent (heated) debates around the fairness of “what is on the dinner menu tonight”.

Matt is an avid golfer who laments that his considerable passion for golf unfortunately isn’t matched by his swing and general on course ability. Matt is also a much dedicated and loyal Geelong Football Club member of 40 plus years, who can be spotted now and then embarrassingly yelling “BALL” from his spot in the GFC Social Club during footy season.
